Updates on the mid-congress tours:
There are still places available on all the tours except the Horticulture tour.
The other tours are however booking up steadily so be sure to register for your preferred choice to avoid disappointment! There may be some adjustments to the schedules as the popularity of tours becomes
apparent in the next month or so but we will keep you updated. The names of those involved in organising the tours are presented here with e-mail contacts. If you have any queries about specific tours, you can contact the organisers directly.

Post-congress tour:

The same applies to the post-congress tour. We have limited the number to 45 - so again, to avoid disappointment book early! The tour will finish up on the afternoon of Tuesday 17th in Galway. Those of you wanting to travel back to Dublin can avail of the afternoon train from Galway to Dublin,
while some of you may wish to stay on and explore Galway city, Connemara or the
Burren. The train will arrive late in Dublin on the evening of the 17th so if
you are hoping to fly that day, you may need to leave earlier.

Please let us know if you have any queries about the tour.

14 December 2007

The Organising Committee have been busy sorting through the 300 plus abstracts that were submitted for review at the congress website. All authors were notified last week to prepare and submit their papers. The deadline for submission is March 1st and the Congress Committee has stressed the significance of the deadline for meeting printing deadlines.

We would like to wish all of our colleagues in the peatland world a happy holiday and we look forward to a successful 2008.

The closing date for abstract submission has passed. If you would like to submit a poster presentation please contact IPC2008@abbey.ie

The Second Circular and Call for Papers has been mailed in late July 2007. If you do not receive a copy in the near future and wish to have one please contact the Congress Organisters.
